March 26th- Three teams of Horse Interest Club participants competeted in the Hippology Contest at the Horse Jamboree in Ames. They all did a great job!
March 13th- 16 4-Hers practiced for Hippology, participated in fun team building exercises led by Travis Jacobs,
and listened to a presentation about Conformation.
4-Hers listen to a member presentation and do a group activity at the 2/13/11 meeting
October 24th- Horse Interest Club members held officer elections and learned how to braid thier own barrel reins.
Sept 16th- 4-Hers had the opportunity to learn about goat tying and roping during a presentation by Kurt and Roxann Moeller on youth rodeo events.
August 12th- 10 4-Hers attended a presentation by Jessica Young, DVM, on Equine Dental Exams and Powerfloating, and enjoyed
smores and smoothies afterwards.
July 17th- Two Horse Interest Club participants were named 2010 Boone Co Fair King and Queen Attendant.

June 24th- 4-Hers worked on various trail obstacles and added additonal elements to the drill team routine
June 6- 4-Hers worked on Walk Trot and Western Pleasure, and practiced Drill Team manuevers.
May 30th- 4-Hers practiced the gate, bridge, and mail box obstacles for trail class to prepare for fair.
May 20th- 17 4-Hers participated in learning Showmanship basics in the indoor arena at the boone county fairgrounds.
April 15, 2010 --Boone Horse Interest Meeting participants learned the equine skeletal system by painting the bones on a live horse.
